I’m a muralist, writer, and educator from Highland Park, New Jersey. All my projects work together towards similar goals—exploring the experiences and cultural productions that unite all people, documenting how people actually speak and highlighting their contributions to the development of language, and using artistic expression as a way to bring about social change.
I have murals in Hillside, Metuchen, Highland Park, New Brunswick, Newark, Orange, and New York City. I also assisted on “The {PORTRAITS}” mural at McCarter Highway in Newark, the second longest mural in the U.S., as well as “Birds of Paradise,” a 500-ft long mural at Bayswater Park in Far Rockaway, supported by NYC Parks.
I completed my MFA in Fiction and Literary Translation at Columbia (LTAC) joint course of study at Columbia University. My work has appeared in Columbia Journal, Northwest Review, Bridge Eight, and Y2K Quarterly. I am working on novels and a collection of short stories about growing up in the 90s.
I have over fifteen years of experience teaching and designing curriculum for students in elementary school, high school, and college. I am the Director of Programs for the National Executive Council (NEC) at Columbia University’s Center for Justice and Associate Director of Curriculum at Healthy Routines.
